Sweet Moments at Avondale KidFest: Our First Vendor Experience

There's something really special about packing up your products, loading the car, and heading out as a family to share something you've built with love. That's exactly what we did at the Avondale KidFest, and it was one of those days we'll be talking about for a long time.

A Community That Showed Up

KidFest is one of those events that reminds you why community matters. Held in Avondale and completely free to families, the festival brings together games, crafts, food trucks, live entertainment, and community resources all in one place. But more than the activities, it's the people that make it what it is. We watched kids laugh, run, and explore while parents and caregivers connected with local organizations and small businesses like ours. The energy was contagious.

What makes KidFest even more meaningful is its recognition by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The event is designed with early learning at its heart, celebrating the importance of supporting young children, families, and educators in real, tangible ways. It wasn't just a fun day out, it was a day with purpose.

Setting Up the Honee Table

When we set up our Mama Honee table, we honestly didn't know what to expect. Would people stop? Would they be curious about honey? Would they connect with our story?

They absolutely did.

Family after family came by, asked questions, and tasted. We shared our Wildflower honey, and watched faces light up with each one. Kids were fascinated. Parents asked about where the honey comes from, how we use it, and what makes each variety different. It turned into real conversations, the kind you just can't script.

More Than a Vendor Booth

One of the things we love most about Mama Honee is that it's a family brand in every sense. It was fitting to be surrounded by families all day, because that's exactly who we are and who we made this for. We met grandparents passing a jar down to their grandkids, young moms looking for natural pantry staples, and curious little ones who had never tried raw honey before.

Every handshake, every sample, every "we'll look you up!" reminded us why we started this. We're not just selling honey. We're sharing a piece of our home, our tradition, and our care, one jar at a time.

We'll Be Back

To the families across the Valley who stopped by our table, thank you. Thank you for your curiosity, your kindness, and your support of a small family business. You made our first KidFest experience one we'll carry with us.

And to the Avondale KidFest team, thank you for creating a space that celebrates family, community, and early childhood in such a beautiful way. We're already looking forward to next year.

If you missed us at KidFest, you can always find us at www.mamahonee.com. Come pull up a seat at the Honee Table. 🍯
