Top 5 VMAs Celebrity Fashion Looks

There’s no doubt that celebrities came out to shine as they hit the red carpet at this year’s Video Music Awards 2021. From VMA Host Doja Cat to most anticipated performers Chloe Bailey and Normani, the Fashion industry showed up to show out. These looks not only give us insight as to what this year’s dress code for the event was but it also gives us insight as to how these celebrities and stylists managed to make their bold statements. A common theme you will see is the unison of hairstyles. Most of the women on our list all have iconic updos to help bring their looks alive giving them a daring flair of sexiness.
First up we have Ciara in Tom Ford. The songstress made quite the daring statement as she walked the red carpet to reveal an all-black lace and velvet dress that covered the star’s accentuated body. Her makeup was done by the amazing Celebrity MUA Yolonda Frederick, also the Inventor of Glam.Or.Ring makeup clutch. Ciara’s hair was done by Celebrity Stylist Nikay Higgins which included a long sleek ponytail that rivaled the train of her dress. This look was amazing and showed off all of Ciara’s unique features.
The second look is of American Pop Singer Normani in up-and-coming new designer Patrycja Pagas and Djula jewelry. This white ensemble includes a jacket and skirt to match. Although on the riskier side of fashion, Normani tops this look off with a long black braided ponytail with subtle makeup.
Third on our list is another VMA performer Chloe Bailey who stunned the red carpet with a look that Cosmopolitan magazine is calling “A loud, crinkly statement”. LOL, this look has its likes and dislikes but we have to agree on the fact that this is quite the statement piece. The dress was designed by Fashion Designer Marni and included a spoon as part of the look. When asked for the inspiration behind the spoon, it was revealed that at the time that Marni creative director Francesco Risso “presented the fall/winter 2021 collection via a series of videos where models shared in joyful meals together, a reminder of pre-pandemic life.
The fourth look is from Actress and Influencer Shay Mitchell in a Nikita Karizma dress styled by Monica Rose. This fun and short mini dress gives all the sexy vibes showing off the actress's toned and tanned legs. The look is paired with a LEE SAVAGE gold clutch and Djula jewelry. Celebrity hairstylist Justine Marjan went with a messy updo to show off the actress’s short mini dress.
The last and final look comes from American Singer, songwriter, and actress Leslie Grace Martinez who stunned the red carpet in a champagne Oscar de la Renta dress. Celebrity Hairstylist John D gave the singer a sleek pony with baby hairs on the side. The singer/songwriter paired the dress with baby pink nail polish and a matching baby pink nude lip. This look is nothing short of amazing!
